Pumpkin Pie

Love pumpkin pie as much as we do? Come to the MacMillan coffee day tomorrow and get some! 9am-10.00am and 2.30pm-4pm.

Starlings class were very busy today making pumpkin pies for tomorrows' coffee morning, using a pumpkin we grew at school. Obviously, we had to test it!

What's in there?

...boxes and boxes of tiles! A huge thank you to Frank Tully, the mangager of Tile Choice in Kidderminster for his incredibly generous donation of tiles. Why do we need so many tiles? We are planning to make our unused outdoor area outside Robins classroom into a quiet courtyard area. Unfortunately it is a little sad looking at the moment so the children came up with an excellent idea to make a mosaic to cheer it up! For this we needed lots of tiles, so the children last year set to work writing persuasive letters to local companies for donations. Only a few days after posting the letters we heard back from Frank Tully! The children were very excited to see the lorry coming up the drive last week and couldn't believe how many tiles we now have! The mosaic will be completed and on display in the courtyard by the end of the academic year. We all hope that Frank will be able to unveil the mosaic at the grand opening, as without his donation this would not have been possible! http://www.tilechoice.co.uk/kidderminster

Harvest Time

As you can see, we have had a fabulous harvest this week, which included pumpkins, squashes, tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes and marrows. The children have enjoyed eating the cucumbers at snack time and Starlings' class are planning to also use the produce to learn how to cook a balanced meal.
